Review

Between the Lines By: Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer

Overview:

"What happens when happily ever after… isn't?
Delilah is a bit of a loner who prefers spending her time in the school library with her head in a book—one book in particular. Between the Lines may be a fairy tale, but it feels real. Prince Oliver is brave, adventurous, and loving. He really speaks to Delilah.
And then one day Oliver actually speaks to her. Turns out, Oliver is more than a one-dimensional storybook prince. He’s a restless teen who feels trapped by his literary existence and hates that his entire life is predetermined. He’s sure there’s more for him out there in the real world, and Delilah might just be his key to freedom.
Delilah and Oliver work together to attempt to get Oliver out of his book, a challenging task that forces them to examine their perceptions of fate, the world, and their places in it. And as their attraction to each other grows along the way, a romance blossoms that is anything but a fairy tale."

My thoughts:

This book is written by one of my mom's favorite authors. The character Delilah sounded like me, so much in fact that I couldn't protest, when my mom bought it.
The 1st thing I loved about this book was the cover. I love the symbolism in it. I loved how the fairy wand is placed into it too. The second thing I loved about this book was the authors note at the very beginning. It made me recognize some of the difficulties that authors go through to write amazing stories.
The third thing that made me fall in love with this book were the pictures that were in it as you read.

If you ask me, this book is one of the must reads that I am going to put on my "Must Reads of 2012" list at the end of December. I loved the story, plot and characters in this story. By far shooting to the top of my favorites list.

This book is a good read for Boys & Girls above the age of 10.
